Tips On Thrift Clothings

Hello lovelies, Welcome to the blog happy new week.Mondays are truly for great starts where you get to set newer goals, newer plans and forget all the errors of the past week.In my own term I'll say God gives us Monday like another opportunity to do our thing and get our stuffs together👍 I hope you'll have a fantastic and fruitful week. I hope am not the only one also in the school of thought that feels whatever you start your Monday with is what happens for the whole week or its just a Nigerian myth, well I believe it so y'all have a fantastic day so you can have fantastic days for the rest of the week.

Today on the blog am going to be discussing tips on thrifted clothing, in Nigeria we have nick names like boskona, okrika ,second hand etc. I have a friend who customizes hers www.aswani.co.uk lol, aswani is a place in Lagos popularly known for thrift clothing couple of other places too.

My own definition of thrifts is getting affordable clothes at affordable prices you don't have to break the bank to look good, some people feel shy about it you don't have to, almost everyone wears thrift they are some items you cant get new or afford newly but atimes I don't know If its okay to say thrifts makes your clothe dream come true and am happy that thrift is becoming en vogue even second hand shopping not only on clothes.

I'm going to be sharing tips on thrifted Clothings so you can know what to shop for and be comfortable.

  1. When you are shopping for thrifts, shop in the right areas where you know they are popularly known for selling it you are sure to get whatever you are looking for and you don't just go there randomly go on their market days where you know they'll have good things and new stock many a times people don't always get the best because when they go not on the market days when they have new stock other that have come previously might have gone with the best so go on market days In Nigeria we have places like Yaba, kantagua, trade fair and their market days are mostly Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays some markets in the mornings and some at nights.

2. Always look out for quality clothes and top brands when picking thrift you have to check for the ones that are in good shape and quality that can you wear for at least a long time and quality brands in the sense people won't even believe you got them in second hand clothing.pick more of cotton clothes and denim.

 3. Shop according to trend, check to see what's in vogue before picking clothes in the thrift market so you don't take outdated clothes especially when If you don't have to what to wear with or combine it.

4. Know what to avoid when shopping thrifted clothes most thrift sellers pack both good and damaged clothes together even for same price avoid clothes with stains, holes asides from the fact that they won't last long you won't feel good in them and check closely cause it's until we home before we see some errors and we might not be lucky to return it back.

5. Always make sure you wash them properly before wearing them, also check through for any signs of wear in the clothes if its something that can be fixed.

6. This is like my important tip which is not all second hand clothes are going to fit you like gloves so get a tailor that can help you work on it and put in shape to your desired shape. Most people tend to drop clothes they like at thrift stores cause it's big,it looks saggy not fitted work on it and you'll love it, trust me.same goes for it if its too small if you like the material you can even change the style.Get yourself a good and affordable tailor.

Lastly thrifts works and fits in our budget but don't say because its affordable have it at the back of your mind quality over quantity take your time, select, and pick the best of it.

I hope you like the post feel free to comments and I also got this denim buttoned down dress thrifted.See you in my next post.Xx

Your Style An Attitude Not Just An Outfit

Hello lovelies Welcome back to my blog, How's the week coming along on your end? Please do have a swell time. On the blog today and relating to my title I'll be discussing about style but in more different topic than my last post."Attitude is everything" either positive or negative your attitude matters and it does in all ramifications of life. According to a style blogger after reading her post I was in line with her when she said you have to bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today's world and our generation well I believe there's a whole lot of truth in that. The popular saying of "The way you dress that's the way you'll be addressed" no longer works for this generation I must say probably before and it was more like an anthem that we heard almost every other day growing up. I strongly believe in my title that your style isn't just an outfit but your attitude because in what I have learnt in and outside s...

THOUGHTS OF FASHION IN NIGERIA IN THE NEAREST FUTURE

Hello Lovelies,Welcome back to the blog its a new week have a fun filled one. Today on the blog I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on fashion in the nearest future featuring my Monday work outfit inspiration. Every person nurtures an innate desire of looking good and feel ‘accepted’ in the socio-economic circle. The word fashion instantaneously brings to mind a flash of colour with a dash of glamour. Fashion plays an increasingly important role in an individual’s life because it is considered as a means of self-expression.  Fashion itself is a reflection of social, economic, political and cultural changes. It expresses modernity, symbolising the spirit of the times. Several factors contribute to the evolution of fashion as a whole. It is a widely accepted fact that the rich and the famous, and the political figures and royalty have always moved the seasonal trends of fashion.  Fashion in Nigeria  has always been diverse, reflecting its many ethnic groups,...
