SIX FUN FACTS ABOUT MY UNIVERSITY FT MY DENIM DUNGAREES

Hello lovelies welcome back to the blog,I must apologize for being on and off on the blog site not being able to post due to preparation for school, actually its my final year in uni so there's been a lot of hustle and bustle.
On the blog today, I would love to share with you fun facts about my University (University of Ilorin) Kwara State. Its been an exciting and stressful journey so far I must say and thank God for the final level. This past three years in this uni has taught me a lot asides academic and meeting new people also perseverance and has given an insight on life in a different angle. Its located in the Northern part of Nigeria and Muslim dominated, its a very peaceful place.

#1 TRANSPORT PALAVA

Mehn if you don't live in school hostel then you can relate with me on the transport issue especially when we just resume there's always a very long queue in the evening when students are going home its like rush hour for students the way it is in Lagos, atimes we can form 'S' on the queue. They are different cars for conveying students like the normal cabs then mini buses we call 'korope',big buses, and the brt types of buses...lol....On this queue we have shunters they are the ones that will jumping like frogs in a bid to find their way to the front so as to get transport on time.
Also the cadet are always on duties so as to maintain orderliness on the queue and to monitor shunters lol...even they don't catch them the bad belles on the queue will be shouting to expose them very funny.we experience and see different characters on that queue with different people with different moods
We also have those that who plead with private cars to drop them outside school we call them 'Tanke sirs' lol my school is one school you can't get angry and say you want to walk home or try and get transport outside cause the distance of the park to the school gate alone you won't be able to come to school for two days.
Some students even jump on Lorries and pickup truck and they will be happy and jubilating cause they are able to get transport.
Its always tiring but fun in a bid to get transport.

#2 RESULT TENSION
Its only in unilorin you deal with results like its your gateway pass to heaven, some even pray and fast over results especially the 100 level students cause they will face Tanke If they don't cross a slang which means If they are unable to meet the school cutoff in 100level they are going home so everyone is always on their toes when it comes to exam and result no one wants to face tanke.

#3 ID CARD THE 'DOG TAG'
In my uni ID card is seen as a dog tag I don't know why all I know is even the seniors I met there as soon as we get to the school gate we bring it out for security purposes and when we pass the security post people start removing it immediately like they don't want it at all on their neck so many people have different reasons while some are copy cats just follow the trend some see it as spoiling their outfit some says the color doesn't go with them cause in school every faculty has different colors of tag for recognition, but it's a natural habit that students remove their ID card immediately after the security post.

#4 DRESS CODE WORRY CODE
Dress code in my uni is a code that is as important as following the ten commandments of Moses its a strict rule that students must adhere, they mustn't find you not properly dressed its a good rule but the hot chase between security and students is the most funniest and when students wear things they are not suppose to wear you see them carrying tricycle (keke napep) all around school.I remember a day my course mate wore a clothe that wasn't acceptable to school she had a hot chase with the security cause immediately he sighted her he ran after her immediately and she also ran as fast as she could it was a funny day to remember.
.
#5 CBT EXAMINATION QUEUE
This is another interesting queue to be on when we are about to write exams its always like crusade and you will see even guys shunting and struggling on the queue it's always survival of the fittest if you say you want to go early so you can avoid queue you will still meet people there and you would be wondering did they sleep there... Lol... It's always funny and interesting you will find security and shunters watching themselves so they jump into the queue yes there are struggles to write CBT exams but it's always fun too.

#6 TOP SLANG USED
Top slang used are 'scholar' for people that are brilliant and but in unilorin even if you don't know anything they still make jest of you and call you scholar, if they see you writing notes and reading any book like this you are already a scholar
Another is 'tanke sir' for those that beg private cars to drop them outside school, then we have 'face tanke' for those that fail and mostly said to 100 level students that if they don't read they will 'face tanke'.
I hope you like the post, feel free to comment and add yours. Xx

Your Style An Attitude Not Just An Outfit

Hello lovelies Welcome back to my blog, How's the week coming along on your end? Please do have a swell time. On the blog today and relating to my title I'll be discussing about style but in more different topic than my last post."Attitude is everything" either positive or negative your attitude matters and it does in all ramifications of life. According to a style blogger after reading her post I was in line with her when she said you have to bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today's world and our generation well I believe there's a whole lot of truth in that. The popular saying of "The way you dress that's the way you'll be addressed" no longer works for this generation I must say probably before and it was more like an anthem that we heard almost every other day growing up. I strongly believe in my title that your style isn't just an outfit but your attitude because in what I have learnt in and outside s...

THOUGHTS OF FASHION IN NIGERIA IN THE NEAREST FUTURE

Hello Lovelies,Welcome back to the blog its a new week have a fun filled one. Today on the blog I'm going to be sharing my thoughts on fashion in the nearest future featuring my Monday work outfit inspiration. Every person nurtures an innate desire of looking good and feel ‘accepted’ in the socio-economic circle. The word fashion instantaneously brings to mind a flash of colour with a dash of glamour. Fashion plays an increasingly important role in an individual’s life because it is considered as a means of self-expression.  Fashion itself is a reflection of social, economic, political and cultural changes. It expresses modernity, symbolising the spirit of the times. Several factors contribute to the evolution of fashion as a whole. It is a widely accepted fact that the rich and the famous, and the political figures and royalty have always moved the seasonal trends of fashion.  Fashion in Nigeria  has always been diverse, reflecting its many ethnic groups,...
